Tip 1 – Make Sure Everyone has the Correct Tech

Be it a laptop, a steady internet connection, or a screen to protect their eyes against headaches, you need to make sure that each employee has the right technology to work from home. Tip 3 – Encourage a monitored Work/Life Balance

Your employees are likely to be breaking under the strain right now. Imagine working from home, with a spouse who has been furloughed and is indoors all day. On top of that, they may have one or two children that they have to teach, entertain, feed, bathe, and clothe… Things can get very hectic, very quickly, for those forced to work from the same place that they live in.

Get around this by encouraging a greater work/life balance. Allow working hours that fit around the employee’s lifestyle, think about giving them extra time off, and up the holiday allowance wherever you can. Times are hard. If your firm has managed to come through all this without major losses, then you owe the people who carried you through it a little relaxation time.

Be Kind to Each Other

The upshot of all this is that times are difficult for all of us. If we be kind to one another, it just makes day-to-day living that little bit easier. Surely, after a year of lockdowns and fear, we have at least learned that.
